There has never been a better time than now to tap into a laundry list of tax rebates and other financial incentives designed to encourage individuals and businesses to go the greener mile. At the federal level in the U.S., individuals can reap the rewards of no less than eight different financial incentives ranging from tax credits and home loans for replacing windows and installing insulation around the house to tax rebates for purchasing a hybrid car or hooking up a solar hot water heater. "Besides these federal incentives, nearly every U.S. state has additional state or local incentives available. Many require utilities to rebate consumers who save electricity. Some utilities even offer "net metering," whereby consumers who generate some of their power through rooftop solar panels or other technologies can sell electricity back to the utility, thus reducing or zeroing out their electric bill—even earning money.

Here are a few examples of incentives offered by the State of Maryland Alone. We used Maryland because our central office is located in Maryland. Each state offers there own incentives.

I could save30%, up to $3,000. on a new solar water heating system.

I can drastically reduce my water heating costs, maybe even eliminate it while watching the new system pay for itself.

If I install a photovoltaic system.I can save up to $10,000.00, $2.50 per DC watt, significantly reducing my electric bill and complete reliance on the power company.

The right system could allow me to sever all ties with the power company; no more power outages, rate spikes, peak usage fees, etc. The power company may even pay me for electric!! The amount of savings is determined by the system I choose.

Here a couple of quick examples of these incentives offered by the Federal Government Alone.

This would dramatically reduce my heat loss/heat gain, reducing my heating and cooling costs. This would also add a new look and comfort to my home.

This too would add a new look and comfort while reducing my heat loss/heat gain. This would allow for a lower utility bill.

$1,500.00, if I add new insulation to my building.This is the most important product, in my home, to combat heat loss/heat gain.

State and local incentives, loan programs and renewable energy grants make the savings even more. These are only a couple of the many incentives offered through the Federal and State Government. There are tremendous savings to be had with all types of Green Energy Building.
